recipe: homemade roast pork

Ingredients:

- a piece of 五花腩 (no need to cut it into small pieces, the whole piece serves best for cooking.)

- salt

- 五香粉

(well, not sure the portion, because it is based on my mom's cooking intuition.)


Procedure:

1) Pierce the 五花腩 skin with something sharp, so to make the skin crispy. (Mom said she did not have anything sharp at her kitchen, so she used the meat scissor instead and it works.)

2) Marinate the 五花腩with salt and 五香粉 for two hours (no need to marinate the skin.)

3) Wash the salt and五香粉 away.

4) Heat the cooking pot or wok with oil (use big fire)

5) Put the五花腩 into the pot, the skin has to face downward to the pot (so make the skin crispy.)

6) Then turn to low fire.

7) Use a bowl cover the whole piece of 五花腩

8) Finally, cover the lid of the pot.

9) Slow cook for 45 minutes!

10) Bon Appetite! Crispy, crispy, crispy!!!
